I have learned to respect the courage and blind confidence it takes to short a stock like this. I remember having Skymall at 4 or 5, and thinking that when it got to 18 in a few days that there would be a correction coming, you know, profit taking after 2 or 3 days of run up.

I had seen it happen many times, and it seemed a sure thing to catch a little down turn and then go long again. And so I shorted it at about 16 if I remember and it went to 48!!! in the next few days. It was very difficult sleeping and I did not enjoy the tension. Yes, it did come down but it seemed that it was never going to come down to me. And actually, it is still around 17. I'm glad I didn't short it any sooner.

There are some new exciting technologies about to happen; such as video streaming and rich sound to make sites come alive with motion by way of things like Snap software (owned by CNET). This new look to the internet will first be offered to the fast subscribers served by cable companies such as Comcast or to the ADSL (digital subscriber lines) distributed by GTE. These downloads of between 256 to 1 meg will change the content of the web, and make it more like interactive TV, and it will not stop improving. Linking TV and Internet to provide combined service somehow is looming.

If SATH partners with players who will explore these new technologies in conjunction with the 30 million viewer base SATH has, and they are first to this party, then they could get tremendous press and a huge ride up on their future worth.

Be careful. Yes, don't be greedy, but also, don't sell yourself short if this turns out to be a milestone in the development of the web and its services.
