FDJA
In a nutshell...

Improving home theatre pictures is pretty much at a stand still
right now with HDTV on the way ...

There are some glimmers of hope on the horizon...

according to a report from CES in Las Vegas...
There are now a few areas showings faint signs of hope...

Evidently at the show in Faroudja's booth there was an example of Plasma display with and without Faroudja processing...

this is the rundown...the people writing the report percieved rear projection HDTV to be far superior in quality to Plasma although plasma pricetag was 12-25k...
one of FDJA'S top dealers is now apparently selling FDJA tech with 50% of his plasma sales...
this appears to be an area of opportunity...

Faroudja also had on display 58" rear projection set...
SUPER PRICEY...the spin is that this is the best and whoever would be paying these type of prices will buy this set...
features are that signals which are HDTV are displayed in that form...
signals which are standard deffinition or worse are upconverted to HDTV automatically...therefore 24 hours a day picture is HDTV regardless of programming...

Capitalising on the low end of the home theatre market their new LCD projector with INFOCUS goes for 13k and apparently early indications are proimising....

Not much on FORMAT TRANSLATOR but that should go into high gear sometime around mid-year...

Bottom line it's going to be a couple of quarters ...but there are glimmers of hope and the stock is selling for pocket change...
