The MRVC product is a high rate optical link,
so that it can only be loosely viewed as ''wireless''
(no wires for sure, but very different frequencies).
These links require very precise alignments and are
sensitive to rain, so that they can be used only for
a limited range of applications (for CLECS, backhaul
was mentioned, presumably in arid areas of the Southwest).
