Some tidings from Elaine Garzarelli .........
The January employment data released Friday came in strong, with payroll employment rising 245,000
while the unemployment rate held at 4.3 percent (a 28-year low). In addition, this week the Fed left rates
unchanged at its Open Market Committee meeting.

We believe we are in an ideal economic environment with good growth and low inflation. In the short run,
we need to keep a careful eye on interest rates, valuation and bullish advisor levels, since the
combination is near correction levels. In the long run, however, we believe the U.S. stock market is
poised to further its strong advances as interest rates decline more and inflation remains nil. We
continue to look for a high of 1,400 for the S&P 500 and 11,000 for the Dow during the next six to 12
months.
