I know this is not Sunday morning, but my thoughts on your queries follow:
1. Would I invest some or all of my cash next week? If not why not?
Yes, I would probably invest most of my cash after watching Monday's action. Gut feel, (very inexperienced, so probably wrong), tells me that if Monday is down, we are near the bottom of this particular correction, if it starts up with some volume, the correction is over.
2. Would I invest some or all of my money in CPQ. If not why not?
Yes, the core of the investment would be CPQ. A bargain at these levels. The only blight on the horizon is the nagging voice of jim kelley which I just can't seem to eradicate from my thought process. A catalyst for caution, is he?
3. Where would I invest some or all of my money. Why?
The rest of the money would go into CSCO, AOL, LU and BRCM in that order. Nervous about the chip makers at the moment, or else INTC would be up there too
During my absence from the trading screen, an oldish GTC buy at 43 for CPQ got filled on Friday, so I suppose I have inadvertently put my money where my mouth is <g>
