Eric,

The network card is not the part folks care about identifying as they cost pennies compared to CPU's in a box under folks desks, open to theft by passers by at almost anytime.

CPUs and network cards are rapidly approaching the same price. In fact, it won't be long before computers are free with your ISP subscription. Sort of like cell phones.
