Previous rumor... TWX/Roadrunner and @HOME to join forces. This would effectively join Excite and TWX, or at least make the acquisition of a different portal unlikely I would like to see some kind of reference to where this rumor came from. 1) T is waiting for government approval of the T/TCI merger - due any week now. It would be crazy for T to allow such an announcement prior to approval (T will own 40% of ATHM after merger). 2) Even after the merger it is questionable. Feds are watching for too much consolidation. ATHM and RoadRunner together make a monopoly. There are no other cable internet services of any size.
