Finally somebody who actually uses their products. I think that digital cell phones and similar gadgets that also have specialized computing ability and link with networks are going to be very popular. Probably the cell phone, PDA, and mini laptop will merge into one device for many users. My research indicates that digital wireless devices should easily be able to exceed 14.4 kbs. In the case of digital devices the modem isn't really a modem (modulator demodulator)since all the signals are digital. According to Motorola todays main use of wireless data are fax and e-mail. This is obviously just scratching the surface of possible uses. Since I also own Siebel, I try to imagine the possibilities of sales automation attached via Citrix to a portable wireless device. Instant on the spot answers.
My question to you is about the performance at 14.4 kbs. Is the system sluggish or does it move along well? Are any delays due to bandwidth? Does ICA work well enough for you to be happy with it? Your input will be greatly appreciated. I have owned Citrix for quite a while, but as a non user I sometimes feel like somebody trying to learn to ride a bicycle from a book <g>
