Pardon my intrusion, as an Asian, I agree with you that the Japanese will most likely hunker down. That's just the Asian way. In time of crisis, hunkering down is what we do best. It'll take a miracle to change our psyche. Most of the average people in Japan do not feel the crunch in the economy. They feel it some, but they've got jobs, and they've got savings. They may not be manic like our market, but they're steady.
Just my opinion.
