I think that this is a smart move for PTSC. They're doing the same thing with the PSC-1000 as Sun did with Java. Give away the development kit (Java JDK) and pay us when you have a product.

This will encourage many companies to evaluate the PSC1000 and eventually will become design wins.

You gotta love the statement ''We expect that it will greatly accelerate the PSC1000's penetration into the Japanese market.''
