<< The Republicans may be re-evaluating their strategy now that Pat Robertson of Christian Coalition fame has advocated dropping the Clinton trial in order to focus on winning the White House in 2000. Just what we need---a reasonable Republican. >>

Pat is also the one who, in early 1998, had said that his god was going to hit Orlando with a hurricane because Disney had a gay day at their park.

Well, after his "quote" from his god, two hurricanes struck, but did not come close to Orlando. If these were hurricanes released by Pat Robinson's god, but they missed their mark, does that make Robinson liable for damages to the Florida Keys or to Central American countries?

I have to question the accuracy of Pat's connection to his god. Perhaps his god was just kidding Pat?

Then Pat Robinson blamed the tornadoes that hit Arkansas and other Southern states on President Clinton. Was this another message from Pat's god?

I guess Pat's prediction of his god's ability to use storms to destroy innocent people wasn't too good, so he is now trying predictions "after" the fact.

Does this sound like a reasonable Republican to you, or a typical Republican.
