Peter,

With respect to the size of the market, here's a post from misc.invest.stocks:

Subject: Trinity Biotech (TRIBY) Buying Opportunity

This red hot stock finally took a breather today.

I'm glad that the hype died down on this great stock.

By the way, the Dick Davis Digest noted TRIBY as one of it's top picks
for '96 way back in December; the newsletter gave a three year target
of $25 for the stock.

Something to think about while you are holding TRIBY:

When you look at the 50 billion dollar diagnostics industry, if TRIBY
can even capture 1% of that market, it's a 500 million dollar company.
That would be a 50x increase in revenues. I imagine that with a
net margin of 10% (lower than historical), we would be talking about 50
million dollars in profit, or $3.50-$4.00 a share in net.

The stock would then be trading at $70 (PE=20) to $140 (PE=40).
