The parallel I can draw to Herb G.'s article is a similar report outlining the negative comments made by ML Tom Kurlak in mid 98 about INTC. The tone was the same saying that most are blind to see but Intel's growth days are over as a paradigm shift has taken place. Bandwidth is more important than processing power etc. etc. Intel is done for and take your money and run. Lucent/Cisco are the next Intels blah blah blah. I really was worried about the prospects of the company but my basic fundamental of sticking to leaders kept me in. Fast forward to Oct 98. Intel holds its own in the selloff and in the next 4 months doubles. Tom Kurlak is left licking his wounds. Moral of the story is nobody knows sh*t and the question I would like to ask those analcysts is that where else would you park your money ? Usual answer will be in the Stratosphere (CSCO) whose growth rate and valuation is another love story. -hitesh
