splitting the stock does not dilute it. Having secondary market sales (adding amount of available shares in the open market)adds to dilution, amongst other things. This happens when a company wants to raise capital through an equity (stock) sale. Splitting a stock on the other hand, Percentage wise, you will own the same amount.
