All Dan thank you for the kind word. On another topic:long timers here remember our modest plan of development for amd. The only one thing that did not come true yet is upgrading of amd bonds. Below is some info from 1st call. 01:23pm EST 5-Feb-97 Wheat First Fixed Income .... INVESTMENT OPINION: BUY We are initiating coverage with a recomendation for the purchase of the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) 11% senior notes due August 1, 2003. We expect AMD to rebuild its EBITDA margins and improve its coverage ratios when it begins to ship K-6 microprocessors later this quarter. Furthermore, we expect the demand for the company's upgraded 100MHz and 166MHz K-5 Pentium Pro (probably typo about but it is nice to see it on another hand it will be an alternative without mmx similar to pro) replacement products to be stronger than the demand for last year's slower 75MHz and 90MHz K-5 microprocessors. ..... The company's revenue growth should accelerate as the Microsoft Windows compatible market migrates from Intel Pentium Pro and K-5 microprocessors, to the MMX and K-6 products ....... We expect the 11% senior notes to tighten by at least 100 basis points, if the company regains its investment grade rating ..... AMD's K-5 microprocessors was eclipsed by Intel's faster Pentium Pro (I like the sound of it, they actually removed Pentium Pro from the Next Generation MPU list because it does not have MMX) Regards -Albert
