I see I must clarify my original response on this. Do you claim I'm accusing Les of lying? I'm accusing him of dubious debate tactics, that's all. Would you like to take up the issue of the "cumulative difference" between the budgets that Reagan sent up and the budgets Congress passed? Les has this URL from the Reagan home page that has this curious analysis of the subject, which I find somewhat disingenuous. You add up the 3% a year difference, and Reagan's last budget was really 24% lower than Congress's! I also find the Kemp/Roth statement disingenuous, I'm sure the 3 of us all understand perfectly the difference between Kemp/Roth and the Tax Reform act of 1986.
