There are certain blue collar jobs which require upper body strength, and women just don't have it compared to men. I know I don't, even when I work out with weights, I just can't get strong enough.
If a job doesn't require a lot of upper body strength, most women can do it as well as most men, and the question is why don't they? You give one reason, that women don't like to get dirty. I know I don't. But there are blue collar jobs that don't require getting dirty, like printing, machine shop, electrician, fine carpentry. Women drive trucks. Etc. Being a nurse you get blood and other yucky stuff on you, and you have to move heavy patients, licensed practical nurses especially, but women do that.
I don't think it is the dirty work that women won't do, I think it is the dangerous work. Most women have children, and don't want to risk their lives, because they are afraid of what will happen to their children.
