the problem is not in the house, but in the senate. the senate did not pass the tax cuts last year and let the prez veto it. the repubs in the senate talk about bi-part, but when depositions came up dems voted for none, and repubs limited it to 3 from 12, and still no dems voted for the deposition. so why did the repubs compromise?

not even to vote for one live witness.

newt had it right with his contract, which the senate also did not like, but the prez co-opted many of the ideas.

the problem rests in the senate, imo.
