You are right about the media. They provided gavel to gavel coverage of Watergate and continuous Iran-Contra so that no one could avoid their condemnation of the Rep administrations. Gee, you would have thought that an actual impeachment was more news worthy. Naw, not when the media wants to quash it to protect the man they put in office with a minority of voters.

In stark contrast, they now provide no saturation coverage, just saturation pro-Clinton spin. In fact, when the nets do interrupt the soaps they more often show the Clinton "defense".

Still, the majority knows that Clinton is beneath contempt and guilty as charged. Who would have figured that, as David Broder reported, fear of Gore as untrustworthy would have saved Clinton from removal.

That, however, bodes well for 2000.
