Excellent post-I'm still watching, but bottom line is that there's nothing truly unique here. A friend of mine is an Intel employee, who is well versed and active in internet engines/tech. -basically said its nice but nothing new-Next big thing is super specific search engines like askjeeves.com. sleu has been out long enough, esp. during the internet crazed last 6 months, for someone with money and tech influence to take a position in it, and it hasn't happened. Not too keen about how it came into being either-no superwizzes in the office. Take a look at their largest stockholder message board for more details.
