Interface Systems' e-Statement Direct Debuts at SIA Internet Update Conference
Interface Systems' e-Statement Direct™ product for the brokerage industry debuted at the recent Securities Industry Association (SIA) Internet Update Conference in New York. e-Statement Direct is the first and only application specifically-designed to enable brokerage firms to electronically deliver exact and searchable copies of client statements to brokers in independent or remote offices, via e-mail, fax, or the Internet. Developed with input from two of the world's largest brokerage firms, e-Statement Direct solves the problem of brokers receiving unformatted and delayed copies of their client statements.
"The SEC has already approved the electronic transmission of information by broker-dealers, and now the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board has approved it as well. It's a timely decision in terms of the debut of our e-Statement Direct product, and we're very excited about it." said Robert Nero, president and CEO of Interface. "e-Statement Direct really capitalizes on the most recent technological advancements in the document distribution industry, for the benefit of brokerage houses, their brokers, and their investors."
Currently, most brokerage firms send copies of client statements to remote offices via paper or microfiche. Often, these copies reach brokers days after the originals reach their clients, and not always in the same format. Brokers are then unable to answer client questions quickly and efficiently.
e-Statement Direct solves each of these problems, while at the same time creating a searchable index of client statements and information, which can be easily and quickly accessed by the broker. Using e-Statement Direct, brokerage houses can efficiently deliver client statement copies to their local brokers via fax, e-mail, or the Internet. The statements are exact replicas of those that the customer receives, and can be reprinted locally by the brokers.

Merrill Lynch musta been one of those 2 world's largest brokers who they worked with on this product, they were one of their first 2 customers. They never released it, as far as I can see...but it was in their recently quarterly earnings stuff.

When you are out trying to promote a new product(s), it sure helps if you have installations with folks that people have already heard of. I've heard of the IRS & Merrill Lynch...that'd get my ear if they were trying to sell me.
Anyway I'm into to it for their Transpoint connection on EBPP, a chimp play in the Gorilla Game. These news bites are a bonus I never expected, but I'll take.. |
