Many cultures have tolerated, or tolerate presently, parents killing or exposing infants- particularly girl infants. Right is whatever your culture or religious innoculation says is right. If you had been raised in Borneo 50 years ago by headhunters you would think it was OK to eat your enemies brains or stick his head on a stick- powerful juju. In our country the majority do not want to actually kill already born infants (although some people obviously DO- a la recent cases), and most people are even squeamish about later term abortions and a vast majority don't give a fig about an itty bitty bunch of cells with no limbs and eyes that doesn't remind them in the least of a baby. So unless you think your everlasting soul is doomed to hellfire and damnation if you make the wrong decision its probably best to keep up with the Joneses and think like they think. I have longingly looked at my neighbors' heads while doing yard work involving long stakes, but because I live in such a civilized country I have so far not sucked their brains out and shrunk their heads- which is as it should be. <sigh>
