Sonny, the Intel VP who is speaking, Andy Bryant, is a very capable CFO and knows Intel's manufacturing like a manufacturing VP, as well as all the numbers. That's IMO, based on hearing him speak in person and on a few conference calls. However, and apologies in advance to finance people (hey, they call us techies) he's a bean counter and sounds like one. All business, no hype. For a short term stock hype, too bad Paul Otellini isn't speaking, just the opposite, dynamic while brilliant. Or, Barrett or Grove, of course. Back to Bryant, at lunch after last years stockholders meeting, two ex-Intel guys were marveling that he HAD seemed alive in his talk. Anyway, as long as Intel has their unbroken string of the best top management It'll be my top holding.
Other: missed EMC, again, missed MSFT, again. OTOH, how 'bout them AMATs!
