I'm still in the penalty box in two of the eight accounts. Seems that I broke a rule by trading more than 100% of the account balance (creating and closing out one position and initiating another). So, they took away our on-line brokerage capability for 90 days. We can still call and pay twice the amount in commissions if we so desire.

My protest letter of over three weeks ago has not even received a response. My position was real simple: point out in any of your literature where this rule is specified, or when this rule was changed.

Part of my letter of 1/15 states:

"Let me say that I find your method of dealing with this problem of
extreme concern. Your actions make the IRS look like good guys in
comparison. At least, the IRS allows me an opportunity to challenge
their "decisions" before taking draconian action."

The response is, of course, silence. Essentially the same as that experienced by JT and yourself. Why don't you just go away as you don't fit our mold of the perfect customer.
