There's a wide country of good American citizens who live solid respectible lives somewhere between your two extremes of "pernicious effect of perjury and obstruction" and "countenance and condone such behavior in the WH and our President."

Indeed, its a majority, a moral majority, to borrow a phrase. There is no war of generations, only the political aspirations of a self righteous minority as expressed by the views of the house managers which has finally run its course. We've learned something, its not the beginning of sin and ruin. No future President will ever run these stop signs again. Others yes, its human nature.. just ask Hyde.
