Tiger, Congradulations on your investing with one of the greatest companies on earth. This morning when I learned that Prudential downgraded INTEL based on price, I had a nervous feeling in my stomach that some serious selling was going to happen before the day was over. I was quite ticked off by the manipulation of the analyst and even felt like going on a one man crusade to encourage everybody to sell their stock holdings in Prudential as a counter attact on them for infringing on the Temple of INTEL. I learned a long time ago that brokerage houses weild a lot of power and as a individual investor, one should not try to second guess what they will do. You have to sit still and ride out the bumps no matter how upset you get. Every major brokerage house plays this game.

I see from your post that even you as a Prudential client was not given any warning about Prudential's downgrading of Intel but I assure you, the manipulation is created to make a more attractive price for Mutual Fund managers as they definately want Intel and Microsoft to be apart of many of their portfolio's.

I think it would help you a great deal to read the postings on this thread on a daily basis. Many of the members have tremendous insight and knowledge of the day to day events which shape the activities in the marketplace. I get more appreciation from the information I read on this thread, than I do from most sources. I will leave you with this thought. I believe that INTEL and MICROSOFT and CISCO are the
Titans of the technology revolution and you want to buy and hold these powerhouses for at least the next ten to twenty years. We are in a very powerful secular uptrend. The Gross domestic product is favcorable, The Fed is friendly and even Bill Clinton is pushing the computer and the internet.

There is no such thing as when is a good time to buy stock in these companies and I do not think you have to ask. Whenever you have a little money to add, buy more at any price. If you do not, that is ok too, Just sit on what you have and in a few years today's prices will look really like fantastic bargains.

Good investing and Prosperity to you.

When your broker calls you up and tells you to sell INTEL, tell him
to take a hike, you are not going to make him or Prudential rich with your commissions. In the future your might want to look into buying stocks from a discount broker or even buying on line. Some members have refered to interesting locations.
