I think Apple's price problem just stuck its head in the sand. If I followed yesterday's news correctly, Apple is stuck with a stockpile that won't move. They're dumping it at a loss for some immediate cash (it wasn't going to move, anyway). Even if they can make a better computer set-up (OS, Java, etc.), I just don't think they can compete, price-wise, without going off-shore for labor, or some other such drastic move.
So, I don't think they can turn a profit AND build a better system, all at the same time. What do you think?
