I know it's a radical notion, but it might make it easier for everyone if we found something amusing to talk about for a change. If we have to be addicts we might as well be addicted to pleasure.

X's notion of killing and eating the neighbors had real potential, I thought. Since the capital punishment gang isn't about to discuss how they ought to be killed, maybe the rest of us frivolous souls could work on the more pressing notion of how they ought to be cooked. I would suggest something a bit baroque, along the lines of Chinese banquetry. No need to be barbaric, after all. But I suppose we shouldn't decide until we know how many, and of what ages. Old, stringy, neighbors require quite different treatment from young and tender ones.
