the problem is about 1/3rd is reublican, 1/3 democrat, and 1/3 is the swing vote. the republicans disappointed their followers last election and paid for it. clinton has been able to get swing voters to vote dem because he moved to the right (welfare, block grants, crime,....).

ofcourse there was an article that many repubs are against the proposed 10% tax cut....

the republicans need another reagan or newt to focus on what conservatives stand for instead of trying to be liberals because clinton enacts certain parts of the conservative agenda.

keep in mind bush signed the ada act, something that the congress would not have passed unless it was dem controlled. clinton health care govt takeover failed because of the house republicans.
