Very tough question to answer.

I have 3 different stock screening tools I use, depending on my mood and which one is working, look at the movers list, % gainers, % losers, read through news, work on tips, and when all else fails just start typing in random symbols;-)

Probably look at 30 -50 stocks every day, most of them between 6 am and 9 am. All that and I narrow down to 1 or 2 I think I will buy and maybe another 1 or 2 that I put on a watch list.

Now by this point I'm ready and then lance sends me a PM, I forget about everything and buy his stock.

Keep lurking, watching, learning and develop a gut instinct. When your gut screams buy at you do it, don't second guess yourself or you may end up running after something. When you see $ and think it might be time to sell, do it, don't get greedy and don't do so much research that you love the company and would hate to part with those precious shares.
