Aus - Al lot is going to change when AOL comes out with a version that works on CE. Also I think there is going to be or indeed is already a new CE which does color better plus a bunch of new Jornada type palm tops. Now hy should this chnage anything? Well I don't know about you but I am computer nut. I basically need help because I keep buying the latest lap top. I've been in love with these devices for almost as long as I can remeber and I had the first laptop in 1984 and took it on planes with it portable printer and its portabel floppy disk drive. It really excited curiosity on the planes. It was an HP 110 and it changed my life. Then the NEC portable, HP Omnibook and the Portege series. Finally my latest the Portege 3015CT 266Mhz and a 4.1 Gbt hard drive and a good color screen with full MS Office and the rest BUT the truth is that I hardly use the facilities of this machine and office even when I try!!!! I need basic word processing and relatively small spread sheets and maybe Power Point from time to time. AOL several times a day and my Diary ( ECCO) and Winfax but that basically it. Now I think my life is going to change again as it did in 1984. A new Jornada type palm top with AOL and Winfax and ECCO ( and maybe a QCOM phone) which turns on instantaneously that will be perfect for me and much better than a fully loaded laptop. Doesn't mean that INTC is out of a job, far form it they will presumably make a great new chip for this kind of device and sell hundreds of millions of them very quickly. BUT and here I finally get to the point, in such small devices you will need CF for all sorts of things and you will need lots of it since these devices will now also double up as modern day Walkmans thus cutting down even further the amount of stuff that you have to carry with you on planes!!!!
