Celebrex new prescriptions for week ended 2/5 - over 80,000:

Here are some numbers I gathered by researching JP Morgan and ML reports.

Total prescriptions through 2/5/99 was 139,000.
On 2/5/99 alone 16,900 scripts written.
First week 5000.
Second week 1/29/99 was 45,800
That means they had 88,200 prescriptions during week of 2/5/99. That is astounding.
This is second only to Viagra in history of all drug launches. Remember they have not officially launched any marketing. They will in 3rd week of Feb. From what I hear the patient feedback is excellant. It works great with no side effects..
