PARSIPPANY, N.J., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Century 21 Real Estate Corporation announced today that the CENTURY 21® System will join the Major League Baseball (MLB) roster as a two-year sponsor as the ''Official Real Estate Organization of Major League Baseball.'' Highlights will include title sponsorships of the 1999 and 2000 All-Star Home Run Derbys and the ''Turn Ahead the Clock'' series of futuristic MLB games. Baseball is poised for another season of explosive growth and is a great platform for CENTURY 21® System to receive extensive exposure in its first major sports sponsorship.

Century 21 Real Estate Corporation will launch a national consumer promotion designed to bring fans even closer to the brand and the game in 1999, and also give them a glimpse of what Major League Baseball will be in the future. The CENTURY 21® System sponsorship will include two charity components: the National Easter Seals Society, an organization assisted by the CENTURY 21® System for nearly 20 years, and The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the Official Charity of Major League Baseball. In addition, the partnership will include national and local advertising, point of sale displays, a customized publication, and public relations, to support all sponsorship and promotional activities. The CENTURY 21® System MLB sponsorship activities will include:

''CENTURY 21 All-Star Home Run Derby Sweepstakes''

Consumers will enter the national ''CENTURY 21 All-Star Home Run Derby Sweepstakes'' where permissible from April 15 through June 10 at participating CENTURY 21 franchise offices nationwide.

-- Two grand prize sweepstakes winners will each be awarded a trip to Major League Baseball's All-Star Week at Boston's Fenway Park (July 9-13).

-- The two ''CENTURY 21 All-Star Home Run Derby Sweepstakes'' winners will attend The CENTURY 21 Home Run Derby (July 12) as the only consumers participating in the ''CENTURY 21 Home Give-Away.''

-- In the last round of the ''CENTURY 21 All-Star Home Run Derby'' the two MLB All-Star finalists will each represent one of the two sweepstakes winners.

-- The All-Star player who hits the most home-runs and wins the ''CENTURY 21 All-Star Home Run Derby'' will also win the ''CENTURY 21 Home Give-Away'' (a value of up to $250,000) for the sweepstakes winner he is representing.

"Turn Ahead the Clock"
-- On July 12, prior to the "CENTURY 21® System All-Star Home Run
Derby," Century 21 and MLB will announce the "Turn Ahead the Clock"
series including participating teams and game schedules.
-- The CENTURY 21 System will sponsor the "Turn Ahead the Clock" series of
MLB games. The details of the "Turn Ahead the Clock" series will be
announced at a later date.
