Hi gePeTTp,

From my experience you need to focus on TA - see the TA - Beginners thread here on SI. Options themselves are simple - if you go far enough out in time (for example, I sold my GLSEZs today for a 30% profit after broker's fees for only a 3 day investment... the EZs are May 32 1/2 calls) , options behave like stocks but are cheaper. You want to learn... join the TA thread and buy a sbuscription to The Options Advisor,,, they have some good materials with a cassette tape to learn from. Get books on TA and study them. Get a good charting program... I use MSWIN 6.0. Learn your craft before you even start investing.

Check back with me in 6 months and I can give you more experience to draw on as most of my option trades were a loss up until now.

BUT DON'T TRADE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING FROM A TECHNICAL STANDPOINT. YOU WILL LOSE EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE.

I hape that scares you. As a cocky know-it-all lost I a forturne before realizing I really didn't know what I was doing.

I still don't know what I am doing, but at least I am starting to make money at it.

Regards and good luck.

Bill

PS... I sold at the top of a 10 day move, GLX reversed after I sold it and it sold off 1/8th point for the first time in 10 days.
