The NR says Melnuk left for personal reasons, which probably means a personal disagreement with Mr. Munk over the handling of the bid for ARP. eg. letting the cat out of the bag over the lock up price of $5.50. The stock went almost immediately to that price and ABX was wasting time on a $4.00 bid. It smells like politics to me. Anyway we'll see what happens. Barrick is probably still in New York trying to negotiate a deal with the 'Funds' unless they have reached the 50.1% which I doubt. Elmer
