Intelligent Voice/Host Integration

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--Eicon Technology a global leader in remote
access solutions, today announced an agreement with Syntellect
Inc., a leading global provider of comprehensive Interactive
Communications Management solutions. Through the agreement,
Eicon's Aviva (R) Web-to-Host Server (TM) product will furnish
Syntellect's Vista (TM) software platform with efficient IBM host
access for large- scale voice application integration.
Syntellect's Vista software is a call center platform, which hosts
Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Interactive Web Response (IWR),
Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) and Predictive Dialing
capabilities. Based on an open, industry-standard architecture,
it allows users to call into institutions such as banks and
insurance companies to access information by keying in data from
their telephone or web browser. Vista's IVR capabilities automate
routine customer self-service queries and are often considered to
be "the voice" of many automated call centers.
Eicon's Aviva Web-to-Host Server software provides Syntellect's
Vista platform with the capabilities to perform data queries to
customers' mainframe computers, retrieve desired information and
report results via a voice response back to the caller. Aviva
Web- to-Host Server provides the essential IBM host access
connectivity platform, via ActiveX (R) components, over a number
of connections, including SDLC, Token Ring, and TN3270.
