David great interview article. This question and answer below is what the truly wise investor should study up on, I have, and the standards issue is a non-issue! When it comes to x2 technology, but it sure is stuck in the competitions craw.

Q: So the standards discussion might be -- from your point of view -- designed to slow the move to 56Kbps?

A: Absolutely, no question about it.

On the other hand, we think there will be a standard, and it will be our technology or something close. We will be able to migrate our installed base to that standard through downloads.

The thing that's the best for everyone is to develop a standard in an international standard-setting process early because that makes the market get bigger faster. And we definitely benefit from that. Every communications equipment supplier benefits from that, and the end-user benefits the most.
