Intelispan and DataComm Sign Alliance Agreement for Distribution of Secure Internet Protocol Network Service
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 9, 1999--Intelispan, Inc. (OTC BB:IVPN - news) announced today that DataComm Networks Incorporated of Tampa, Florida has signed an agreement to become an Intelispan Strategic Alliance Partner.
This agreement will allow DataComm to resell Intelispan's Virtual Private Network and E-Commerce services nationwide.
''We're enthusiastic about Intelispan's offering that we've created a new department specifically designed to market their products and services,'' said James Hopstetter, Vice President of DataComm. ''We evaluated Intelispan, putting them through comprehensive testing. They far surpassed their competitors in network performance, cost savings and quality of service.''
Established in 1984 by Bruce Boyer and James Hopstetter, DataComm was ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing companies in the nation. As a systems integrator, DataComm Networks builds strategic relationships with their customers to become a natural extension of their information technology organization. It is a full service company focusing on partnering with the corporate enterprise in selecting the right IT products, services and support it needs.
''One of the most compelling reasons we had in choosing Intelispan was the enthusiastic response we got from our customers,'' said Don Steele, Special Projects Manager for DataComm. ''We're in the process of hiring additional staff to support this division, and are currently working with two national companies to implement Intelispan's VPN and E-Commerce solutions.''
Intelispan offers the corporate enterprise a secure VPN network for managed remote access, Internet/extranets and business-to-business e-commerce. Unlike other VPN offerings that utilize the Internet, Intelispan has developed its network services offering on a global, private IP network-apart from the Internet, thereby avoiding the risks of denial of service attacks and hackers on a public network. Intelispan also provides a unique blend of user control, enhanced security, E-commerce and network management capability that is usage-based and scalable on demand. Intelispan also offers stand-alone EDI document and public key cryptography (PKI) products for midsize and large corporate enterprises.
''DataComm represents the level of professionalism and credibility in the industry that we want to be associated with,'' said Peter Nelson, CEO of Intelispan. ''This alliance is in keeping with our philosophy of distributing Intelispan's solution through highly trained industry professionals.''
