I always try to come into a new day with a new frame of mind. Yesterday I was a shitpot. Just a note. Broadcom (BRCM), an internet chip supplier trading at $130/share, announced its entry into the set top box market and home applications. This follows on the heels with Media One/ Phillips. There is no doubt that this will be one of the hottest consumer areas for the future. Interesting, Broadcom is just beginning to develop a single chip that performs for set top boxes. I think I heard that it is being developed in conjunction with Cisco. I may stand corrected about Cisco. If MSU is for real, the company claims it has the single chip technology and is right around the corner for the marketplace. Is MSU a step ahead?
