NBG Radio Network Announces Appointment of Officers
PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 9, 1999--John Holmes, President of NBG Radio Network (''NBG'') (OTC:NSBD - news), today announced the appointments of Chris J. Miller as Chief Operating Officer and David Thibeau as Chief Technical Officer of NBG Solutions, Inc.
NBG Solutions, Inc. is NBG's newest subsidiary created by the recent acquisition of M-Tek Technical Services.
Chris Miller, who is now responsible for handling all duties associated with the development of NBG Solutions, Inc. brings over 20 years of diverse management experience in operations, finance, customer service, technology and project management to the new subsidiary. During his career, Chris worked for First Interstate Bank, Security Pacific Bank, Bank of America and most recently for US Bank as a manager in the Institutional Financial Services division. Miller was also appointed to NBG's Board of Directors on Jan. 27, 1999, after the resignation of Jim Schilling.
David Thibeau joins NBG Solutions, Inc. with more than 25 years of marketing experience in the computer component industry. David has been the President and VP/Marketing for a system integration company and in recent years has been developing information kiosk integration systems that are a complete turn-key solution for data marketing. According to John Holmes, President, ''Chris and David bring immense talent to the new company and are dedicated to making NBG Solutions, Inc. a profitable part of NBG's overall game plan. It will be a pleasure to work with both of them.''
NBG's basic source of revenue has historically been advertising spots within their syndicated radio programs. To increase revenues, NBG started a non-traditional revenue (''NTR'') department which will now be diversified with NBG Solutions, Inc. NBG will continue to produce and syndicate quality programming and products while expanding into NTR. Kiosks are a natural progression for NBG. Today's sponsors demand detailed reports illustrating a healthy return on their investment. Kiosk technology dramatically demonstrates the value of sponsorship packages by providing customized marketing data. Cheaper hardware, internet familiarity and improved touch-screen technology make kiosk marketing attractive to clients in many sectors: retail, media, finance, government, tourism, and entertainment. Kiosks can be programmed to perform many functions, not just dispensing cash as in ATM machines. NBG Solutions, Inc. can design, produce, market and service systems, which will significantly increase company revenues and shareholder values.
NBG Radio Network currently produces and syndicates 31 national radio programs reaching over 1,775 radio stations in the United States. The company is traded OTC:NSBD. |
