Sometimes stocks run up, and sometimes down, and usually that has something to do with what's really going on, and sometimes it doesn't -- which is to say that I recognize the herd behavior known as momentum ( and I'm all for it, if only I could find a herd to be part of). I guess the problem I have with TA is it extrapolates trends based on past performance alone, which in the Internet world (which doesn't have typical supply, oversupply, boom and bust patterns they way maybe steel and gasoline once did) that doesn't make sense to me. But hey, predict it will go up, and then prove me wrong. - Charles
