Maybe I would have been working on improving my process because the Katmai will use it too? Maybe I would work on speeding up the Deschutes core because the Katmai and Deschutes are so similar the lessons would carry over? Maybe I would work on it so I could pull farther ahead of the competition? Maybe I would work on it so I could further challenge the Unix boxmakers at the high end? Maybe my lack of progress is now showing up when the Katmai debuts at only 500 MHz?
