Another questionable press release: CYSS (Crys-Tel) announced on February 8 1999 they will purchase 20% of "Academy Network Solutions" - SUPPOSEDLY the largest ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Italy.

Announcements: quote.yahoo.com

Problem 1 - there is no sign of Academy Network Solutions on the WWW, in a search I just did. If this company is the largest ISP in Italy it should be very easy to find. I am contacting other Italian ISPs to see if they know of Academy. Possibly Academy Network Solutions does not exist at all, if so the announcement is fraudulent. I also cannot find "Crys-Tel Italia" on the WWW, supposedly they are also doing a deal with CYSS, according to an announcement last week.

Problem 2 - there is no completion date for the deal, or purchase price or terms. This may be another "vapor" announcement, at best, designed only to pump up the stock, so the insiders can sell it to the public at higher prices.

Problem 3 - there is very little WWW information about "Eurocom Group", which is named in the announcement:
"Academy Network Solutions was formed two years ago with one point of presence in Italy. They are currently the largest ISP in Italy with over 200 points of presence. Academy is a partner of the Eurocom Group, which is one of the leading telecommunications groups in Israel. The company provides turnkey Internet and Telephony operations to corporate customers in Italy."

Another suspicious thing is that S.I. user "mikekell" has posted previous CYSS announcements to several S.I. message threads, in an obvious attempt to draw traders in who will buy CYSS stock. Is mikekell a paid tout? Here are the threads he posted to:
- STOCKS READY TO EXPLODE
- Penny Stock Runners/AM Gappers
- Roaring Internet Stocks
- Companies that may be the next Internet play?
- USAT, Internet telephony (stock shut down by SEC recently)
- USAT Long Distance Telecommunications
- ASK: "THE LAST DON" OF MOMENTUM TRADES
- BoysToys.com, Inc (OTCBB:GRLZ)

Would I invest in this company? Obviously not! It looks very much like a typical "pump and dump" stock scam.

The preceding is my opinion only.
