Vicki - all

I've been coming up in the course of normal reading, with more than a few references to a seemingly extant negative attitude on the part of the PRC toward Western business in general, even if the enterprises seem by nature to benefit the Chinese more than any Western partners.

Evidently, the country is so political, that unless the business gets the 'Nod' from the top it goes nowhere. It becomes a ,"Who do you know ... and what financial clout do you have with them,"situation.

I'm reading a new book. " Eat The Rich," by P.J.O'Rourke ( An editor of Rolling Stone) that makes some interesting assertions along this line.

If RMGG has to do business with {Folded Money} the complications for future business interruptions becomes a serious matter. If We do business this way we are at the whim of the many levels of political hierachy

Just some thoughts.
