Wrong. It makes no difference when knocking on doors, as you put it. The NOC operates to support Portico, and Portico can be gatewayed through any system that uses a... lets see ... Unix box ? No, a cell phone or regular phone. What the telcomm people use to switch with is not an issue. The NOC having uptime is the only important issue and it appears to be doing just fine in that regard. As for Java etc., I hadn't realized that the "write once run anywhere" concept left out all the Doze boxes and NT boxes. I guess I must have missed the fact that 90% of the people surfing the web and providing the "eyeballs" that everyone is after are actually not important since they too run something that you appear to think is an unimportant and easily ignored OS. Whatever. I'll be sure to tell the cell phone companies that unless they use the equipment you approve of that they shouldn't complete my call. After all, transparency isn't what anyone wants now is it ? Get a clue, or buy one somewhere. What the NOC runs isn't an issue until it's something other than a religious issue.
