--Of 220 cities surveyed by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, all but seven have completed more than half their computer assessments, and more than one-third have completed all of them. (Remediation?...Testing?...Huh?...) More than two-thirds of the cities plan to conduct a citywide Y2K test, and 44 percent have developed contingency plans. (Well, they darn well better have contingency plans! What about the other 66 percent?)
