Michael Dell said he sees high-speed broadband technology as the single biggest stimulus for the sales growth of the direct vendor of personal computers, and for the computer industry in general. The founder of Dell Computer Corp. (DELL) said technology that delivers high quality sound and video over the Internet will spawn more computer sales as more people are lured to speed-dependent Net pursuits like shopping and entertainment. Dell also said 50 percent of the company's sales will be done over the Internet within two years.
