The company has received the final assay results from a five-hole, 501-metre diamond drill program completed in mid-December 1998 on the Ollachea gold prospect.
The gold mineralization is contained in quartz veins containing disseminations of pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite, and the veins are hosted by phyllitic shales and slates.
Drill hole No. 1 was located up-slope from old underground workings from which channel sampling produced a value of 4.9 grams per tonne Au over a 17.2-metre interval. The drill holes tested a 325-metre east-west strike length of the mineralized horizon. From west to east the holes are No. 4, No. 1, No. 2, No. 5 and No. 3, respectively. The following table summarizes the significant assay intervals intersected in the holes:
