Warriors of the Information Superhighway...Murdoch vs. Gates [and Allen]* Diller's acquisition of Lycos and possible last reality check for tulip.com's stock prices...what is interesting and of possible note here is that NBC was purported to be courting Lycos...NBC being an obvious Gates-MSFT alliance...Diller is perceived to have pulled an end-run around NBC but has he?...Diller and Paul Allen are in bed together...big time in re: Ticketmaster-USAI...and Allen is the 2nd largest shareholder of MSFT and a Board Director of MSFT...we simply continue to maintain that Gates and Allen simply have a tacit agreement to establish a Long-term LEAP-like straddle on all technology(.) and so far Allen paulallen.com amazingly has escaped and/all? DOJ antitrust litigation/discovery? in re: MSFT antitrust federal/state litigation and appears to be Gates' Monopoly secret weapon... Gates and Allen and Barry Diller legally [beneficially] the same entity/conflict of interest?
