Tom, as to your question concerning 5000 share trades,

Those are not individuals buying shares at 5000 at a time.

Check the MM screen, each MM is only offering 5000 blocks. If your order isn't "all or nothing" the order is generally split up. 5000 executes first and then the rest as MMs step up to take it.

I have been buying and selling MPTV for about 6 months as we have all waited for news.

Several of my orders, whether for 1 million shares or only 50,000 were filled with a 5000 share trade going first and the remainder chopped up.

Another interesting point,

My full service broker is Paine Webber. I bought a 1 million share block one time and they got it all at the ask price and in one block.

However, almost anytime I use a discount broker, such as ETrade, they split my order up and often it takes awhile to fill. If it is a market order, then the MMs gouge you by filling 5000 and then retreating to make you pay a higher price for the rest of your shares.

Just my impressions from watching the stock for awhile. Hope it helps.
